New Botswana Gallery

I first visited Botswana in the early 1970’s to visit family working at the nickel/copper mine in Selebi Pikwe.  I subsequently worked at the mine in the early 1980’s.  In 2010 Hatfield opened an office in Gaborone (Hatfield Consultants Africa), and partially as a result of that I’ve had the opportunity to visit Botswana fairly regularly over the last few years.  In July 2012 my wife and spent about a week at two different camps, both run by Kwando Safaris.  We stayed at Kwando Lagoon which is on the banks of the banks of the wild Kwando River, overlooking the Mudumu National Park in the Namibian Caprivi Strip. We also stayed at  Little Kwara camp, located within the Kwara concession, which borders the Moremi Game Reserve on the northern edge of the Okavango Delta.  Both experiences were wonderful and quality the service and overall experience was spectacular.  I will continue to add photos to this gallery as time permits
