Segment 6 of the BC Bike Race was held in Squamish and local riding sensations Greg Day and Quinn Moberg continued their strong showing in the Duo category with another dominating performance by crossing the finish line first after an exciting sprint finish. Squamish is a favorite for many riders in the BCBR with its amazing network of trails and the strong support in the town for all things adventurous and outdoors. The 52 km, 1,800 m vertical gain course was setup by Corsa Cycles and included the new Rupert’s trail, where I took a few shots of the participants (see gallery here). The BCBR basecamp was located at Brennan Park, which is nestled below the imposing granite cliffs of the Chief and provided perfect place to relax in advance of the final segment in Whistler. Congratulations to all participants, and thanks to everyone in Squamish who came out and supported the event.
