2017 May Montreal – 375th Anniversary

At the tail-end of a business trip I was able to spend part of a weekend in Montreal, visiting good friends. Montreal is one of my favorite cities, and was at its best on a beautiful spring day in late May. The downtown core and main tourist areas are quite compact and walkable – it is only about 3 km from the top of Mont Royal to the old harbour. The city is celebrating its 375th anniversary this year with a variety of festivals and events planned throughout the summer – I was lucky to see a parade of giant mannequins making their way through downtown as a part of these celebrations – a few snapshots of my walk around Montreal can be seen by clicking this link or the embedded photo.
