For the last 10 or more years, I’ve participated in the annual Movember fundraising campaign in support of men’s health, and I’m soliciting donations from friends and family for this worthwhile cause. If you would like to make a donation, please click on the following link :
Additional information about the Movember Foundation and the state of men’s health can be found on the Movember Foundation website. There are many preventable reasons that men experience worse longer-term health than women and die on average six years earlier. Changing lifestyles and demographics mean that prostate cancer rates will double in the next 15 years, while testicular cancer rates have already doubled in the last 50. Men also fare poorly when it comes to mental health outcomes, approximately three quarters of suicides are men and poor mental health leads to half a million men taking their own life every year – or roughly one every minute.
