I was fortunate to be in Ottawa for meetings during the same week as Remembrance Day (November 11). The ceremonies this year at the National War Memorial had some of the largest crowds since the memorial was unveiled in 1939. The memorial commemorates the sacrifice of all Canadians who have served in time of war in the cause of peace and freedom. At the base of the memorial lies the tomb of the unknown soldier. Some photos taken during and after the ceremonies can be seen here.
