2017 Jan Dry and Wet

The last full week in January started out cold and sunny in Vancouver, but by the weekend a more “traditional” west coast mild and wet system had settled in. The photos in this post were taken using a Fujifilm X-T2 camera, a light, mirrorless camera that is easy to carry around (and therefore I tend to carry it around) – the more I use it, the more I like using it compared to my full-frame Nikon gear – I wouldn’t be surprised that if in a few years, “traditional” DSLRs will be largely replaced by mirrorless cameras. The main advantage of my older Nikon gear is that it has a faster (and more accurate) autofocus which can be important for wildlife/sports action photography. I’ve included a couple of photos taken last week in a sunny Vancouver, basically from our office (Hatfield Consultants, Harbourside Drive), and a soggy Squamish (Nexen beach) – click on this link, or the embedded photo.
